1. Women's Matches Are More Of A Palate Cleanser And Is Given The Lowest Priorities During Shows
My number on gripe about the WWE hurting their women performers. Any company will reward its employees for working hard and improving their craft. Thankfully, most of the female wrestlers employed today can wrestle, so there has been some improvement on their part. It just so happens that storylines and matches involving female wrestlers or the Divas Championship get pushed to the sides. Did CM Punk and Undertaker's match in Wrestlemania lasted longer than planned? Get rid of the Divas match. Do we have to rewrite an episode of Raw because of some last minute changes? Get rid of the Divas segment. Simple, easy and unfair. These women also work hard at their craft and some of them have really improved their in-ring skills. When they do get to show their wares, they are given a very small amount of time to work with. As fans, we know that it takes more than five to ten minutes to tell the story of a good match. And we almost never see a female performer get important screen time in a major angle (except for Stephanie McMahon of course) and if they are, its because they are valets or involved in on-screen relationships. What do you think? Can the WWE improve its treatment of their female performers? Let us know in the comments below.
