1. Kevin Owens Isn't Given The Pirate Ship Bump Green Light

One year on from having to make do with throwing himself off of a damn WrestleMania sign inside of an empty Performance Center, Kevin Owens was hellbent on going one better for the return of live crowds at 'Mania 37.

With KO even going as far as to plan out precisely how he would've executed a mind-boggling jump from atop Raymond James Stadium's pirate ship a few months before the originally planned stadium-sized 'Mania 36, the former Universal Champion let everyone know who would listen what his intentions were in the lead-up to WWE's long-awaited show at the venue.

Speaking to FOX Sports in the lead-up to the 37th Show of Shows, Owens again reiterated his desire to launch himself off the ship during the upcoming event, confessing:

"I will literally do everything in my power to get to the point where I can jump off that ship."

However, a number of obstacles ultimately killed off Owens' dreams of walking the plank in the end.

According to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, Owens and Sami Zayn's match not being No DQ, the boat in question being much larger than expected, and then the hazardous weather on the night all put an end to KO's planned shipwreck.

Main eventing opposite "Stone Cold" Steve Austin a year later isn't the worst consolation prize, though...
