10 Ups & 1 Down From IMPACT Wrestling Victory Road 2021

Ups...

10. The Greater Good

Sami Callihan and Eddie Edwards' promo worked solely because it was needed. Why, exactly, were they able to slide their differences aside when it came to facing Moose and W. Morrissey?

The duo explained that they were doing this because they had to. They understood the magnitude of Moose and Morrissey as a singular unit, with Eddie noting how they're this unbreakable alliance. Though they repeated a few phrases that we've heard before - Callihan was never the bad guy, Eddie doesn't want to team with Sami, et al - it worked perfectly in most regards. Eddie's line where he stated he's doing this for the greater good of IMPACT Wrestling was particularly enjoyable.

It would have been odd had they not partaken in a backstage promo here. While the diehard IMPACT fans will understand they don't want to team together, it made sense for them to reference this in a promo because of their story. It helps casual fans immerse themselves in the story.
