10 Ups & 5 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling Turning Point 2021

4. New Dog In The Yard

Goddamn, how good does JONAH look?

The former Bronson Reed debuted with IMPACT by assaulting Josh Alexander prior to the main event. His attack wasn't your standard blindside, though; he seemed out to legitimately kill the 'Walking Weapon', eventually causing Josh to cough up blood following two Tsunami top-rope splashes. It was tough to watch for the squeamish.

Matt Striker and D'Lo Brown were wonderful in explaining JONAH's purpose for being in IMPACT. They mentioned his recent debut for New Japan, where he came face to face with Moose. Crucially, though, the pair never touched hands; in a way, Striker and Brown insinuated that Moose could have paid off JONAH to cause harm to Alexander, who's arguably his biggest threat as World Champion.

IMPACT nailed this debut to a tee. Everything worked, from the lights flickering before his music began to the gradual rise in anticipation as more fans saw his video wall. As JONAH stood over a lifeless Josh Alexander, he smeared Josh's blood across his shirt. Excellent d*ck behaviour. Touche to IMPACT for waiting on the right opportunity to debut him.
