10 Ways WWE Should Have Booked Raw (Nov 16th)

5. Cesaro Gets Through To The Semifinals

Cesaro came out of his match with Roman Reigns looking great, but that really isn't enough for the Swiss Superman at this point. In an ideal world, the WWE would have shocked us all by having him emerge from Survivor Series as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. However, Cesaro not going through to at least the semifinals was a major booking blunder. Had this whole tournament been booked a little more smartly, Cesaro would have been going into Sunday to face off against Roman Reigns, with that conversation he had backstage with Triple H serving to at least tease the possibility he might make a turn to the dark side in order to finally grab the brass ring which has so far remained out of his reach. Instead, his only real purpose on Raw was to make Roman look strong at his own expense, something Daniel Bryan can no doubt relate to after Fastlane earlier this year. Coming out of Raw, Cesaro is still in the same position he was before this tournament began. Despite being arguably the most talented Superstar on the current roster, he's clearly not getting a push or a title shot, and it's baffling that the WWE believes that Reigns taking on Alberto Del Rio on Sunday is a bigger draw for viewers than seeing the former take on Cesaro in what would have been a PPV stealing match.
