10 WCW Thunder Moments You Need To Revisit
8. Blitzkrieg & Kaz Hayashi Vs. Silver King & Juventud Guerrera
Most wrestling fans agreed that, for a short while anyway, WCW was ahead of the game in the mid-1990s (a lead it would surrender without much of a fight as the new millenium drew closer), and a large part of the reason why was its use of high-flyers.
By '99, things were beginning to turn sour, but the company's cruiserweight division could still be relied upon to deliver, and deliver it did in October, when Blitzkrieg and Kaz Hayashi took on SIlver King and Juventud in a bout with a distinctly international flavour.
This match - apart from being stunningly good - is particularly notable for being the very last of Blitzkrieg, whose promising wrestling career drew to a disappointing conclusion at the age of just 24. According to Wikipedia, he had decided to work in IT instead.
