10 Wildest Wrestling Lawsuits Ever

2. Bash At The Beach 2000… Oh Boy

Hulk Hogan vs Vince Russo
WWE

Often seen as the point of no return for WCW, Bash at the Beach 2000 is memorable for many reasons and none of them are good.

The scheduled world title match between Hulk Hogan and Jeff Jarrett ended in controversy when The Chosen One laid down for Hogan in the middle of the ring. This prompted Hulk to go on a tirade against the company, blaming Vince Russo for the state the promotion was in before storming off.

Much has been made over how much of this was a shoot or a work or some horrible combination of both, but what is undeniable is how much trouble Russo got in for what he did next.

The booker also went on a rant, calling Hogan a "bald son of a b****" and a "piece of s***" among other things. This was not what was agreed upon by the parties backstage, so Hogan sued Russo for defamation of character.

Whilst the suit was eventually dismissed, it was emblematic of the cesspit WCW found itself in in the year 2000. Too many big egos running around behind the scenes, negatively affecting what actually went out on television.
