8. Emma

Another architect of the Women's Revolution was demolished upon her main roster promotion, Emma, whose goofy dancing enamoured her to NXT audiences, was promoted as the comic relief sidekick of Santino Marella in early 2014. It was a myopic, one-dimensional comedy role. Emma was a fine, fine technical wrestler, too, of course, but just do the silly hand thing. People like that.

Booted after an embarrassing shoplifting error - and almost reluctantly rehired after WWE embarrassed themselves by releasing her in the first place - that was it for the Antipodean. Excelling both as a likeable babyface and a despicable heel, Emma was a polymath: serious, breezy, nice, nasty, she could do anything in the character department, and remains considerably better in-ring than the botchy Mandy Rose and her green Riott Squad stablemates. Or maybe it's Absolution she's in. Even months later, those factions and the personnel are interchangeable. Emma was not that. She was great. Or at least, she could have been.

WWE did nothing with her, for reasons that remain unfathomable. Booted for good days after TLC '17, that Emma enjoyed her best main roster showing on that pay-per-view just confirms how a*se-backwards WWE managed her.
