10 Worst WCW PPV Endings Ever

7. Sid Breaks His Leg - Sin 2001

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOSYcM4AJ8k The dying days of WCW ranged from can€™t-look-away car crashes to borderline greatness with a wild inconsistency. The company€™s third to last pay-per-view event, which took place in January of 2001, Sin is a show infamous for a gruesome injury that the fans watching will never be able to erase from their memories. Sid Vicious was a remarkable specimen, a monster of a man with an intimidating look and a unique charisma, who had very successful runs in both major companies as well as in ECW and the territories. Upon his return to WCW in 1999 the promotion immediately thrust him into the main event scene where he had compelling feuds with men like Goldberg and Scott Steiner. The braintrust at WCW decided that Sid needed to freshen up his repertoire and a man of his stature should be doing more highspots despite The Master and Rule of the World€™s reluctance. The main event of Sin was a four corners match for the WCW World Championship between Sid, Scott Steiner, Jeff Jarrett and a mystery opponent later revealed to be Road Warrior Animal. Steiner was the champ going in and walked out with the belt when he pinned Sid following one of the most horrific wrestling injuries ever witnessed. The big man ascended to the second rope to deliver an aerial maneuver to Big Poppa Pump, but the execution failed and he came down on his leg, breaking it so badly it bent at a 45-degree angle, dangling within his boot in a grotesque display. Animal unmasked and put the boots to an agonized Vicious before Steiner put him out of his mercy with a pin. It was a grotesque image that will far outlast anything else that happened in on that particular card.
