10 Worst WWE Championship Reigns Of The 2000s

2. Big Show (November-December 2002)

WWE Survivor Series 2002 Big Show Paul Heyman

Brock Lesnar's WWE Championship victory at SummerSlam 2002 was the pinnacle of his meteoric rise to the main event scene.

The Beast had gone from rookie to champion in record time and now had to prove himself at the very top. He had a killer rivalry with The Undertaker that included a brutal Hell in a Cell battle that made him look like a total star. Who would dethrone this unkillable monster? If you said the Big Show, then you'd be wrong, because that would be stupid.

Wait a second...

To the surprise of everyone with a functioning brain, Show became the first main to pin Lesnar on the main roster at Survivor Series. He needed some help from Paul Heyman, but he still did it. What was this in service of? So he could lose the title to Kurt Angle one month later.

It didn't help that this was during one of the lowest points of Show's career, when he was out of shape and out of favour with the fans. Lesnar's first loss should have been saved for a much bigger occasion than this.
