3. The Sheer Shock Of “Bestiality Sex”

Kurt Angle has been viewed as somebody who can do it all since bursting onto the scene in 1999 and earning his stripes with one of the greatest rookie years ever. By 2000, the WWF/WWE knew they could task Angle with serious grappling, soap opera style stories and even laugh out loud comedy skits at will. He'd deliver to the best of his ability, and it usually worked.

A 2005 feud opposite Booker T didn't. The pair predictably meshed well between the ropes, but their storyline was shockingly bad. At one point, Kurt went after Booker's wife Sharmell by kidnapping her and saying he wanted to have "bestiality sex" with her. This is something Angle looked back on with an embarrassed glance now. Vince McMahon came up with that line (don't pretend to be shocked), but Kurt likely could've spoken up and vetoed it.

He didn't.

Later, Angle claimed in promos that Sharmell had fondled him behind Book's back. The plot was unnecessary when considering that Booker and Kurt were top workers who could have great matches in their sleep. They didn't need any of this kidnapping business, and they 100% didn't need any chat about bestiality.

It's a pity that this was one of Angle's last major feuds in WWE before leaving for TNA the following year. That jump proved to be successful from an in-ring perspective, but the stench of his rivalry with Booker and Sharmell sullied memories of his core run with the market leader pre-exit.

Never, ever use the words "bestiality sex" in a promo again. Pretty please?
