10 WrestleMania 33 Shocks That Could Happen
4. A Proper Impromptu Match
One of the biggest flaws in WrestleMania 32's buildup was Bray Wyatt's absence from the card. What we didn't know was that he was being saved for an in-ring segment with none other than The Rock. This led to an impromptu match between The Great One and, of all people, Erick Rowan.
This was all a cheap ploy to pop the fans and set a record for the 'fastest WrestleMania match in history'. The idea had potential but they whiffed on it, meaning they could correct their mistake this time around. Have another disgruntled superstar held off the card only for them to hijack the PPV demanding they get the match they believe they deserve. At this point, Shinsuke Nakamura could make a shock debut or a veteran like Kurt Angle could decide they want one more chance at glory. Seeing them go for even 8-10 minutes would be so much better than seeing them hit a few signature moves like we saw from the veterans lat year.
WWE obviously love to generate hype for their 'Mania matches but a surprise bonus match would be a gift that the WWE Universe would be extremely grateful for.
