http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qk1nLeZoN4c The 9th WrestleMania had one of the worst endings that WWE ever came up with at a WrestleMania. A guy that wasn't booked in the main event ended up leaving with the WWE Title in a match that took 21 seconds. Want a full play by play? Here ya go. Hulk slid into the ring. Fuji was in the ring. Yokozuna held Hogan. Fuji threw the dust. Hulk ducked and the dust went into Yokozuna's face. Hulk hit a clothesline. He followed it up with a legdrop. Hulk won via pinfall. That was it. If Hulk Hogan was going to drop the WWE Title back to Bret Hart then maybe I would have understood why they booked it that way. Since they didn't even have a match that just shows it was some kind of spur of the moment booking idea from the mind of Vince McMahon. Long term planning is key. If you book on a whim you make stupid decisions like this one. I'll never forget the face of Bret Hart when he was supposed to encourage Hogan to go into the ring to face Yokozuna for the WWE Title. He clearly didn't want it to happen, but it was part of the script so that's what went down. In his book, Hart was very critical of the booking as he should have been. Most of WrestleMania 9 was full of bad booking. The ending was no exception.
