10 Wrestlers That Got BANNED From AEW

1. Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan was banned from AEW perhaps before he even knew what AEW was. In 2020, All Elite boss Tony Khan confirmed to The Wrestling Observer that Hulkamania would never run wild on his watch. Why? Tony didn't like that Hogan had never "given an adequate apology" for racist comments he'd made in the past. Thus, the red and yellow was forbidden from showing up on Dynamite.

There's another side to this coin, of course. Hulk had never expressed any desire to work for Tony or show up as #AllElite before sadly passing away aged 71 in July 2025. In fact, Hogan looked set to make more (admittedly unwanted by many) cameos on WWE TV/PLE for as long as they'd let him. His final showing on the 6 January 2025 edition of Raw played before loud boos though.

Hogan appeared alongside longtime pal Jimmy Hart to promote his beer brand, but the crowd gathered for that Netflix debut were having none of it. If he didn't own one of the biggest wrestling companies in the land, then TK might've been one of the ones booing Hulk on the night.

Tony reaffirmed that Hogan was banned from AEW when responding to a post on Twitter/X by Hulk's ex-wife Linda, but he'd confirmed his outlook on Hogan several times. Khan did, at least, let Tony Schiavone pay tribute to the Hulkster on the air following his death. That made sense, not least because of how big an imprint the legend made on the industry and Schiavone's broadcasting career over in WCW.

Hulk in AEW though? No way, brother.
