There is no one better on the mic in professional wrestling right now, than MJF. Your writer could probably list on one hand those who are better than him in the history of the business, such is the man's promo game. What makes it hilarious, is Max is so good on the mic, people completely overlook how great he is in the ring, too.

Currently, the wrestling world is awash with incredible talkers. Moxley, Punk, Rollins, Jericho, Owens, Lynch, Baker. You could build a big list of superstars who can cut a tremendous promo, but none of them own the mic, own their opponents and own the crowd, quite like the 'Salt of the Earth', and that has become quite apparent since his self-enforced absence.

MJF can go from being an absolute gobsh*te and insulting Brian Pillman Jr's mother, to hilarious when campaigning to be World Champion against Jon Moxley, to tear-shreddingly genuine when discussing what CM Punk meant to him. All the while, he never drops a line, never feels forced and the words just flow so naturally. Combined with the exceptional character work he does, he helped turn Wardlow into a bonafied star, and Maxwell's feud with CM Punk should be a shoe-in for Feud of the Year.

We miss MJF. Because he's better than you (and everyone else) on the mic... and you know it.
