10 Wrestlers Who FORCED WWE To Push Them

1. Becky Lynch

It didn't actually take that long to see Becky Lynch strutting down the ramp with gold over her shoulder after being drafted to SmackDown in 2016, with the loveable 'Lasskicker' becoming the inaugural blue show Women's Champion at Backlash.

Despite being a champ, though, it still felt like Becky wasn't being pushed quite as hard as the likes of Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and Bayley in those early brand split days.

It was even reported by Dave Meltzer around the time (via The Sportster) that Vince McMahon didn't want her cutting promos when she first popped up on the main roster, with the boss feeling people wouldn't understand her thick Irish accent.

Defiantly refusing to be held back by those who clearly didn't think she had what it took to be one of the faces of the company, however, Lynch continued working away on SmackDown and eventually became one of the most over babyfaces on the roster.

And the frustrating addition of Charlotte Flair to her SmackDown Women's Championship match at SummerSlam 2018 only caused fans to rally behind her even more.

WWE may have wanted to present her as a dastardly villain after finally lashing out at 'The Queen' in the wake of failing to win the gold at the PLE, but Becky's people were having none of it.

Post-SummerSlam, the company had no choice but to change plans and push Lynch as the coolest anti-hero since 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin as 'The Man's meteoric rise took the wrestling world by storm.
