10 Wrestlers Who Have Changed The Most Since AEW Launched

3. The Dark Order

Chris Jericho
AEW

Evil Uno and Stu Grayson debuted as The Dark Order at AEW's inaugural Double or Nothing pay-per-view, attacking the Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent?), Angélico and Jack Evans.

They were certainly intriguing, but the sinister quickly subsided into mirth when the Creepers - shirtless men in green and black Lucha gimp masks - swarmed out from the back, coming across like bad children's entertainers adapting to spooky season for a quick payday. In an act of supposed submission (not the typical wrestling type), they formed a human throne on which Evil Uno sat triumphantly.

Admittedly, The Dark Order's recruitment drive proved an interesting storyline in the early days of the company. However, when the mystery of "The Exalted One" was revealed, the late Brodie Lee made The Dark Order a credible threat to all of AEW. His eerie charisma greatly boosted successful recruitment.

In the wake of Jonathan Huber's tragic death, The Dark Order lost their leader. Yet, in continuing to honour Huber/Lee's memory, it was hard for fans not to cheer them on. The Brodie Lee Celebration of Life special, in which The Dark Order came out on top in every match, cemented the group as babyfaces.

Nobody could have predicted that The Dark Orders path would wind out in such a way.
