10 Wrestlers Who Looked Better Over 40 Than In Their Prime

1. The Undertaker

One of the most important characters in WWE history he may be, but The Undertaker's early-career inconsistencies can't be ignored when considering his legacy.

It took 'The Deadman' years to evolve into a compelling worker. The '90s brought great bouts with the likes of Shawn Michaels and Mankind, but he was still capable of delivering an absolute stinker well into the turn of the century. Regardless, his reputation as an awe-inspiring spectacle performer grew throughout the early-'00s, and by the time he turned 40 in 2005, 'Taker was operating on a different level.

Though 1997's Hell in a Cell clash with HBK remains his only five-star match, the bulk of Undertaker's true classics took place north of 40. This was when The Streak became as legendary as 'The Deadman' himself. Big stage bouts with Michaels, Triple H, and CM Punk stand among the greatest of any WWE era, and although today's 'Phenom' is far beyond his sell-by date, his reputation as a big theatre standout became cast iron a long time ago.

His 40+ run has its duds ('Taker hasn't had an objectively great match since December 2015), but who can argue with these incredible peaks?
