If pro wrestling was real, then Kurt Angle would've won the WWF Title and probably not lost it for years until someone like Brock Lesnar came along. The Olympian knew he was an alpha male, and that's why he broached the subject of losing on TV during his very first meetings with the company in the late-'90s.

Angle was dead against being depicted as a loser.

Bruce Prichard and Vince McMahon looked at one another like they were being ribbed and kindly informed Kurt that he wouldn't be able to win every single match. They wanted to ensure that characters had ebb and flow, and obviously couldn't tell Kurt that he'd go undefeated for his entire career.

Angle pointed out that he had won a gold medal at the 1996 Olympics (with a broken freakin' neck) and that it'd be unrealistic for him to lose. Eventually, he figured out how pro wrestling works and realised he wasn't going to mow down everyone without doing a few jobs himself.
