10 Wrestlers Who Mock You For Taking It Seriously

Professional wrestling isn't to be taken seriously. That doesn't mean it should be treated as a joke, far from it, but the aliens that eventually make it to Earth will almost certainly stop and chuckle at a form of entertainment that centres itself around pretending to fight in a squared circle. It is inherently ridiculous, and that is absolutely fine.

Known-arsonist and former Legend Killer Randy Orton is fully aware of this, and he isn't afraid to enjoy a moment's joy at the OTT reactions of some fans. Orton is just about as 'living the dream' as it gets, a made-man with oodles of talent who has managed to carve out an iconic career while working at 75% of his ability. If anyone has the right to mock the fans, it is Randy Orton.

Orton has gone on record this year saying that he has a newfound respect for the fans but that hasn't stopped him mocking them in the past, complaining about attention spans and perceptions alike. He isn't afraid to mock the company either, whether it is the booking of his matches or the questionable ideas of his colleagues.

Never change, Randy Orton, never change.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
