10 Wrestlers Who Still Kicked Ass In Their 50s
4. The Undertaker
The final matches in The Undertaker's long and storied run weren't his best, as his bout quality depleted, and a slew of injuries within them would cause them to be slow and sometimes difficult to watch. Despite this, Mark Calaway still gave plenty of performances worthy of the Phenom and kicked ass right through to his last.
A great example was his battle against Roman Reigns. While Taker was slower and less exciting than his opponent, they felt equally matched, as The Deadman was the older wiser opponent, and laid out a tonne of great offence. His older age and slower wrestling style only suited the match better, as the storytelling on display was so clear. Taker was the seasoned and ageing veteran, and Reigns was the fresh up and comer who was vying for his crown, or yard if you prefer.
Then, of course, there was the Boneyard Match, which took the wrestling world by storm. This was some of the most ass that Taker had ever kicked, and his performance was so badass that fans were clamouring for him to consider a career in action movies.
Even if he slowed down a lot in his career twilight, the legendary figure was still a cut above the rest thanks to his storytelling skills, and dedication to the sport.
