If you're not in the mood to hear about something incredibly upsetting, then maybe give this entry a skip.

On May 10th 1983, 23-year-old Nancy Argentino died after suffering serious head trauma in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Her autopsy showed telltale signs of domestic abuse and Jimmy 'Superfly' Snuka, her boyfriend at the time, was the only suspect.

Snuka had been arrested for assaulting Argentino four months prior to her death. Stunningly, he wasn't charged with her murder, leading to some conspiracy theories that Vince McMahon had intervened to protect one of his top stars. Snuka was in the midst of a programme with Don Muraco, which would eventually lead to his famous cage dive at Madison Square Garden.

32 years after Argentino's death, a 72-year-old Snuka was finally arrested and charged with third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter. However, the charges were dismissed in January 2017 after it was deemed the wrestler wasn't fit to stand trial. He died two weeks after this verdict.

Following Snuka's death, WWE ran a tribute package celebrating him as an uncomplicated legend. In the long history of shameless things the company has done, this is up there with the worst and most disgusting promotional tactics.
