Towards the end of the promotion's run, superb in-ring workers like Lance Storm gave WCW fans some reason to continue tuning into Nitro and Thunder. Storm could work with pretty much anybody, and he was an undoubted star of WCW's final year. In Lance's mind, things would've been even better had he been more vocal.

Wary of rocking the boat and totally oblivious to the idea that WCW might go under, Storm kept quiet when he really wanted to shout from the rooftops. On his Killing The Town podcast, the Canadian recalled one match against Buff Bagwell during the United States Title tournament. Storm wishes he'd put Bagwell in his place.

Buff didn't want to put Storm over, so creative concocted a backstage angle that would see Judy Bagwell (his mother) being attacked. Locked in a submission, Bagwell was supposed to tap quickly to he could go save her. Instead, he barely even tapped, and that infuriated Lance. If he had the chance to redo that spot, Storm claims he would have sat right down on Buff and made the move painful.
