10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week

2. Triple H Was Going To Be Anonymous Raw GM

When former members of the WWE creative team are interviewed, all sorts of interesting tidbits can be gleaned from their words. Obviously, a lot of things should be taken with a pinch of salt. On occasion, it's blatantly clear that these ex-employees are bitterly hitting out at their former employer. Chris DeJoseph is currently enjoying a spell writing for Lucha Underground, and doesn't exactly fit into that category. In stark contrast, DeJoseph is normally positive when asked about his time in WWE. During a recent interview, he did however give cool insight into the whole 'Anonymous Raw GM' saga. The storyline never really came to a satisfying conclusion, and the company shoe-horned Hornswoggle into the role. There wasn't much thought put into things, and it seems WWE panicked to come up with a quick fix. According to DeJoseph, there were initially grand plans. None other than Triple H was supposed to be revealed as the man behind the anonymous messages read out by Michael Cole. It's unclear exactly why WWE didn't just go ahead with the angle, because anything would have been better than Hornswoggle.
