1. Vince McMahon Told Chyna Playboy Would Kill Title Chance
When Joanie 'Chyna' Laurer posed for Playboy in the year 2000, she was still one of the then-WWF's top stars. Even though she had been removed from the side of Triple H and was associated on-screen with Eddie Guerrero, there were still grand plans for the woman. Chyna outright stated this week that Vince McMahon gave her a choice, Playboy or the WWF Heavyweight Title. If true, it's confusing why Chyna made the decision to pose nude for the magazine. Vince McMahon was dead against that choice, looking to make Chyna the first ever female World Champion in company history. In Chyna's view, she wanted to feel good about herself, which is why she elected to side with the Playboy choice. McMahon told Chyna that if she went through with the photo spread, it would destroy her chances of being champion. The title run would have been an experiment, but would have surely garnered big headlines for the promotion. In Chyna's view, posing for the magazine directly spoiled her star in the eyes of McMahon. She left the company less than one year later. What other big wrestling facts did you learn this week? What do you make of the ones listed here?
