2. What Triple H Told The Undertaker In 1995
The Undertaker had been in the WWF for almost five years when Hunter Hearst Helmsley debuted in mid-1995. At the time, Triple H was a far cry from Executive Vice President. He was just another mid-card heel looking to find his way and work for the promotion of his dreams.
One day, as told in Triple H's interview with ESPN, he had a friendly chat with 'Taker backstage.
As they were talking, Trips realised how long his then-superior had been in the company. When he walked away from the convo, Triple H thought to himself that it'd be impossible to have a near six-year run in such a big company. Almost 24 years later, he's still here, and he's one of WWE's most important figures.
Back in '95, things were different. Hunter couldn't comprehend having the staying power The Undertaker did, and he thought for sure he'd be doing something else before getting that deep into his run. It was "mind-boggling", he said.
