10 Wrestling Matches That Were Sent Out To Die
8. Baron Corbin Vs. Kurt Angle (WWE WrestleMania 35)
The fact that Kurt Angle wrestled Shawn Stasiak in his first pay-per-view match and Baron Corbin in his last sounds like the answer to some wacky trivia question. There's no point in sugar-coating it: WrestleMania 35 was not a fitting end to the Olympian's tireless, machine-like WWE career, one that was revived for a proper send off.
That "proper send off" ended up being WWE's clumsy attempt to give Corbin the rub.
In interviews since, Angle has admitted that he wouldn't have chosen Baron for his parting shot. Who can blame him there? It's hardly a cutting criticism of Corbin to claim that WWE could've done better by Kurt had his final match not been stuck awkwardly near the end of a jam-packed 16 match card.
Worse, Angle vs. Corbin went on immediately after Batista vs. Triple H, and was needless padding before Finn Bálor vs. Bobby Lashley (which was mercifully short and didn't carry the weight of history Kurt vs. Baron did) and the first ever female main event.
