10 WWE Booking Steps For Rusev vs. Dolph Ziggler

1. The End Of the Feud

However, Dolph Ziggler€™s WrestleMania moment is cut short. As he descends from one turnbuckle and proceeds to go to another, Rusev kicks him right in the face. Once down, an extremely angry Rusev locks in the Accolade submission hold on a now helpless Ziggler. After a few seconds, Rusev transitions it into a Back Arching Camel Clutch (Accolade), essentially wrapping his legs in a body scissors around Ziggler€™s torso while continuing to hold him in the submission hold. Dolph begins to tap out, but Rusev doesn€™t let go. Soon, referees and officials enter the ring and pry Rusev off of a now €˜unconscious€™ Ziggler. Dolph Ziggler has to be carried out of the arena on a stretcher as Rusev€™s music plays in the background. The next night, Rusev and Lana brag about how Dolph Ziggler spent WrestleMania night in a hospital. They would completely ignore the fact that Rusev is no longer undefeated, and he would still run roughshod over the WWE. Ziggler does not make it to the post-WrestleMania RAW, to sell the attack he received after his exhausting match. However, he does return the week afterwards, and challenges Rusev to a No Holds Barred Match at Extreme Rules. But, by that point, another tournament has been determined to determine a #1 Contender, this time, for Dolph€™s Intercontinental Championship, and he must defend his title before facing off against Rusev. So before the Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View, Ziggler defends, and loses, the Intercontinental Championship. Though that does hurt his momentum leading up to the match, he manages to defeat Rusev nevertheless. This marks the culmination of the feud, freeing Ziggler and pushing towards bigger and better things. Thanks for reading.
