10 WWE Gimmick Matches That Totally Sucked

5. Brawl For All

The beginning of the Attitude Era brought with it a pitch from Bradshaw for a hardcore division within the company. Management's bright idea? The Brawl for All, a legitimate tough man competition that would pit mid- and undercard stars against each other in boxing matches to determine who the toughest of the tough actually was.

It existed only to get "Dr. Death" Steve Williams over with fans, leading to a sustained main event run with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin but soon, those in charge found out how big a mistake the entire ordeal really was.

Not only was Williams legitimately knocked out by Bart Gunn, killing his star in the process, others were legitimately injured. On top of it all, the bouts were greeted with apathy from fans who bought tickets to a wrestling show, not a boxing match.

To say the Brawl for All was a letdown of massive proportions, the exact opposite of the idea originally pitched by the future WWE champion, is an understatement of massive proportions. At a time when Vince McMahon's company was at its hottest, the contests typically bogged down the energy of the shows, leading to a low point on every episode of Monday Night Raw.
