5. "Am I F*cking Going Over? How Many Times?"

The events leading up to Survivor Series 2017 built towards a main event in which Triple H more or less foreshadowed his next four marquee matches.

In order to announce himself as the fifth member of Team RAW, he indulged in one of his favourite pursuits: by Pedigree-ing Jason Jordan in the b*llocks, he planted a seed for a match that probably won't grow into anything - either because Jordan isn't on his level, or because Jordan will join him in the heel ranks come April.

He taunted Braun Strowman throughout the Survivors main, at the climax of which this tension spilled over, all but confirming a clash in New Orleans. This was textbook Triple H; his knack of snagging the hottest stars to wrestle for himself has long since devolved from coincidence to satire. The idea is to "put" (read: "get") Strowman over, even though the Monster Among Men excels in the sort of dynamic matches well beyond Triple H at this point. He also turned on Kurt Angle, allowing Shane McMahon to pin him, before kicking Shane's head in, too.

With the Royal Rumble '18 card looking stacked, and years of B-Level PPV refusal, it's looking like only one of these teased matches is actually happening.
