10 WWE Superstars Held Back By Scripted Promos
9. Mojo Rawley
Up until recently, Mojo Rawley was viewed as a complete and utter goofball.
The infatuation with Zubaz, his friendship with NFL star Rob Gronkowski, and his ability to "Stay Hype" was all the WWE Universe knew about this newcomer. As little as it is, that's still more character depth than many current WWE and NXT superstars have seen. I'm still waiting for reasons to care about Apollo Crews or most Cruiserweights, but I digress...
With the creation of Talking Smack, a live, loosely scripted post-SmackDown wrap-up show in which the Tuesday talents have more creative freedom chatting it up with co-hosts Renee Young and Daniel Bryan, Mojo's character got a little more colour. Fans saw a more serious side to the Hype Bro and he became a little bit more bearable than the goof fans were exposed to before.
When left to produce his own material, Mojo spoke from the heart about his association with Zack Ryder, what the future may hold as well as his own individual goals.
Simple as it may sound, that's enough to connect with the audience and is a step in the right direction for Mojo Rawley.
