You know it would have been just plain rude to not include a King of the Ring entry into this list, now that the fabled tournament has reared its regal head once more.

2006's iteration led us to a quarter-final wrestle-off between one Booker T and (a remarkably hot) Matt Hardy. When you see these names on your screen, it doesn't exactly rouse you into taking notice. That being said, the pair were students of the game, capable of doling out a masterclass in psychology.

Booker had found his niche as a conniving heel (with the assistance of real-life wife Sharmell) and used devious tactics to try and dupe Hardy on multiple occasions. Hardy was having none of it and battled through the odds to bring him to within touching distance of the semi-final, landing an emphatic Side Effect on the 5-time WCW Champion. Sharmell took it upon herself to then distract the official, as Hardy set up his Twist of Fate only to be low blowed and pinned by the soon to be King.

As rollercoaster rides go, this was one that confounded the barmy attendees and generated genuine heat for Booker T at a time where he was in danger of becoming yesterday's news. It had no right to be that good and the fans would dispute Booker's right to be crowned.
