10 WWE Vs. NXT Dream Matches We Need To See

The matches we all hope to one day see.

Through building a brand with an inspired combination of acclaimed indy darlings and home-grown Performance Centre talents, NXT has opened the door for WWE to produce perhaps the most thrilling dream matches of any professional wrestling company on the planet.

There are few things we crave more as fans, than the opportunity to see our favorite superstars go toe-to-toe in classic battles whether they are cross brand, promotional, or generational. It is what gets us out of bed of a morning.

Survivor Series 2019 was an inspired, albeit late to the party show built on the premise of NXT as a brand no longer accepting an identity as the minor league cousin of Raw and SmackDown. Witnessing long time company megastars such as Randy Orton battle wrestling sensations in Tommaso Ciampa, were the stuff only dreams and video games could manifest.

WWE would be advised to follow this template more often on NXT to encourage viewership, or even launch full steam ahead with more WWE vs. NXT Super Shows.

Whichever road they take, it would be remiss of WWE not to use their stacked roster to dabble in the daring and dazzling arts of dream matches, and these should be at the top of every fan’s wish list...

10. Charlotte Flair Vs. Candice LeRae

Starting with a clash which showcases the fusion of talents NXT has historically spotlighted, but also two women who carry a contrasting legacy in comparison to their current positions among WWE's female ranks.

On one hand, Charlotte Flair is the genetically superior daughter who emerged as an early product of the WWE Performance Centre and has since risen to the top echelon of stars in the WWE - irrespective of gender. Candice LeRae is the charming 18-year independent scene veteran yet to receive an extended push as a top star in NXT. The yellow and black brand has a strong pool of rising female stars, but LeRae stands as one of the few established characters in NXT's women's division. Not to mention, Candice is incredibly over with the Full Sail faithful.

Charlotte has made no secret of her willingness to use her stature to bring greater attention to NXT. Given that she is now the goddam NXT Champion, LeRae should be one of her first challengers.

Just imagine a cocky heel Flair charging at an exhausted LeRae, only for Candice to counter a Natural Selection into the Gargano escape! This match serves as an electric star-making opportunity for Candice.
