10 WWE Wrestlers Who Will Be Top Stars By The End Of 2021
3. Pete Dunne
On the surface, it looked as though Pete Dunne's NXT career had been well and truly derailed by the chaos of 2020. The global health crisis meant that the former NXT UK Champion was grounded in the UK for much of the year, and this resulted in Dunne losing his half of the NXT Tag Team Championships after Matt Riddle lost the belts whilst teaming with temporary partner Timothy Thatcher.
In that time away from the squared-circle, though, 'The Bruiserweight' got busy getting into the shape of his life. By the time he eventually returned to NXT at October's Halloween Havoc event, Dunne cut a near-unrecognisable and insanely shredded figure. His new look only made his ever-vicious offence look that more chilling too.
He may not have been able to walk away with the NXT Championship following his bout with Finn Balor at TakeOver: Vengeance Day, but Dunne is back firing on all of his villainous cylinders, and has never looked better on both the mic and in-between the ropes.
With all that in mind, expect him to finally earn the black and gold brand's top belt or make a sizeable splash on Monday or Friday nights before the year is out.
