Paul Heyman's promo material with CM Punk was a whole different ball game to that of Brock Lesnar, and though Punk went on record of intensely disliking his last heel run in the WWE, his and Heyman's work together during those past couple of years was pure gold. It ended with a long running feud between the two which concluded just before Punk said goodbye to the industry.

Yet a lack of resolution still hangs in the air. The characters of Punk and Heyman never buried the hatchet. Their verbally bewildering dynamic was cut short when potentially, there was still so much more fun to be had. The reason for another round is simple: They are both f***ing amazing at promos.

So whether they square off as enemies, or as friends, Paul Heyman and CM Punk have to reignite that fire between their on screen personas at all costs. Whatever words are exchanged, jaws will drop, and the long-term eagle-eyed viewers will finally obtain the closure they have been secretly begging for since 2014.
