Luna Vachon was certainly a character.

As a performer of the Attitude Era, she had a unique look, style, and incredible in-ring skills - she just couldn't show them off the way she should have. Luna was given a few opportunities to put on good matches, feuding with the likes of Sable, Jacqueline, and Ivory, the latter whom she faced in a hardcore match. However, none of these feuds really resonated with fans.

Another atrocity was the fact that Luna never held the Women's Championship, despite being one of the few women with actual wrestling skill at the time. During a time when the women of the WWE were mainly featured in over-sexualized scenarios, the title was given to women such as Debra and The Kat, who had very little talent in the ring.

In early 2000, Luna was released from WWE after reportedly throwing an outburst backstage. Reports indicated that she was frustrated with her position within the company and not given many opportunities to have an actual wrestling match. She also suffered from bipolar disorder, which was confirmed by Luna's widow, David Heath, better known to WWE fans as Gangrel.

In 2019, Luna was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame, and rightfully so. With such talent and distinctive look, Luna would have fit perfectly in today's group of WWE women.

Evan has been a wrestling fan since the age of seven, a time when children should not have been watching wrestling. That's right...the attitude era!! He loves talking about wrestling, writing about wrestling, and fantasizing about working for a wrestling company one day. Aside from that, he loves all things pop culture: movies, music, and TV. He also loves to read, travel (even though he doesn't do much of it), and explore new things about this crazy ass world.
