7 & 6. The Ascension
The end of 2014 looked bright for The Ascension. After spending so much time in developmental Viktor and Konor finally made their main roster debut on the December 29th Raw and squashed Miz and Mizdow. It was all downhill from there. In NXT the duo was over. They looked dominant, had some solid teams to work with, and the crowd excitedly cheered along with their mannerisms. That was all stripped away on the main roster as they became Road Warrior knock-offs. That wasn't just a coincidence, that was part of the storyline! The two jobbed to anyone and everyone, it didn't matter who, if they were a WWE tag team they were better than The Ascension. The Dudleyz alone beat them five times on air, when we kind of got the point after the first match. Joining them up with Stardust didn't do them any favors either, as they became the designated jobber stable of the company. To top it off, the duo went winless the last 3-and-a-half months of 2015. While in NXT, Viktor and Konor had the longest run with the tag team titles, but they didn't get anywhere near close to WWE main roster gold. By the end of the year they couldn't beat Ryback 2-on-1 in a handicap match. Will they even be around by the end of 2016?
Andrew Soucek
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
