9. Bobby Lashley Against John Cena - Great American Bash 2007
Former WWE superstar Bobby Lashley was another superstar who fell victim to John Cena as champion. The leader of the Cenation was once again in the middle of a WWE Championship run and was scheduled to enter a summer programme with Randy Orton. So unfortunately for Lashley, he was thrown into the title picture at just the wrong time. Lashley was without doubt a superb athlete, who more than matched Cena physically. The WWE decided to put over how hard Lashley was to beat by having Cena FU him from the second rope during the match finish of their title match at The Great American Bash in 2007. He had also enjoyed a successful run as ECW Champion, prior to his draft to Raw, but perhaps lacked the charisma to be WWE Champion at that particular time. If not for his injury shortly after this pay-per-view, we perhaps may have seen him as champion at some stage.
