Cody Rhodes has always seemed to be on the cusp of something great, but he is still yet to capture WWEs top prize. Up until now, he hasnt been involved in the main event picture since his time with Randy Orton and Ted DiBiase as part of the group Legacy a few years ago. Around this time, his mentor Randy Orton was engaged in a feud with John Cena over the WWE Championship. As part of the storyline, Rhodes father Dusty granted Cody a championship match against Orton, exercising his powers as Raws guest host. With John Cena appointed as special guest referee for the bout, it was always obvious that the match would break down into chaos. Within minutes of the bell ringing, Rhodes and Orton abandoned the match to assault John Cena, causing a no-contest.
