What's that? The Ultimate Warrior again? Yes, yes it is.

Warrior's second reign with the Intercontinental Title, again clocking in at 216 days, was a further push towards the WWF Championship for the character.

It can be argued that the Intercontinental Championship has never been seen as any more vital or important than it was during Warrior's second run with the belt. After regaining the title from Rick Rude at Summerslam '89, the Warrior would go on to feud with the legendary Andre the Giant and then set his sights on Hulk Hogan.

Having regularly defeated one of the all-time icons of the industry in Andre, the Ultimate Warrior would then go on to dispose of another in what was dubbed "The Ultimate Challenge", getting an unheard of at the time clean 1-2-3 on Hogan at Wrestlemania 6 and proving that the Intercontinental Champion can at times be even more of a star than the company's World Champion.

After winning the WWF Championship whilst still holding the IC Title, Warrior had to vacate the Intercontinental Championship, making him one of the very few people who never actually lost the IC belt.
