3 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (Nov 25 - Results & Review)
1. Both Guys Worked Hard
It isn't the fault of hardworking wrestlers that AEW stupidly cuts to commercials mere minutes into their bigger matches. Wheeler Yuta and Katsuyori Shibata put in some shift during Rampage's main event. They were having quite the clash before those pesky pic-in-pic ad breaks came along to shatter viewer immersion.
Yuta being a cheating little sneak and using a low blow to win the ROH Pure Title for a third time is good clean (ha) fun too. Shibata naturally didn't take kindly to that, or to the fact that the BCC man seemed intent on slamming the Japanese star on his head. Shibata sold those brain blows post match, for the record.
It looks like AEW fancies putting Yuta vs. Hook on the card for ROH's next pay-per-view. That'll be Final Battle on 15 December, so TK has to get moving on match setup. Hook working a Pure Rules match will test him, and that's something to look forward to seeing if you're interested in his overall development.
Hardly the best Pure Rules epic you'll see, but Wheeler and Katsuyori have chemistry.
