3 Ups And 12 Downs From WWE Raw (Sept 21)

6. Going Nowhere Good

Last week, Seth Rollins stomped Dominik Mysterio into the ground in a steel cage match, which should have effectively ended this never-ending feud. It was his third singles win over the younger Mysterio in a month.

But no, we had to continue this ridiculous feud with the family, as Monday saw Rollins allege that Rey’s 19-year-old daughter Aalyah wasn’t really his child. Rey called her naïve, which led to her storming off… and straight into Murphy, who apologized for Seth’s actions and said he’s gone too far.

If you can’t see where this is going – the Murphy/Rollins spat is likely for show, to lure Aalyah in – then you haven’t followed wrestling, or just soap operas in general. Maybe if they had tried something like this months ago, it might have worked, but we jumped the shark on this feud a long time ago, and last week felt like an ending. Now we have to ramp up all over again.
