WrestleMania, by 1990, was firmly established as the arena in which stars were made. In a matter of seconds, Hulk Hogan undermined the premise to put himself over as the preeminent wrestling star on the planet.

After playing the old kick out at 3 and 1/100 spot, Hogan fell to his knees in despair, even going as far to point to the skies, as if God had failed him. God didn't fail him. Warrior defeated him. But, in playing the unlucky loser and the magnanimous gentleman in the post-match, Hogan depicted himself as a swell guy who was kind enough to let Warrior keep his seat on the throne warm.
