Donald 'Don' Robinson, an ambitious English businessman who had fingers in many pies, died on 6 November. He was 91.

Born in Scarborough on 27 June, 1934, Robinson, who originally wrestled as Dr Death, transitioned to become a successful wrestling promoter, most notably introducing the sport to Poland, India, and Finland, as well as promoting a memorable 1965 card at the request of the BBC. He subsequently gave many notable British wrestlers their start in the business, the most remarkable being Johnny Saint, the ex-NXT UK General Manager.

Amongst Robinson's other business ventures were his positions as the Chairman of Scarborough Football Club and Hull City, the owner and operator of Flamingo Land Resort, the co-founder of the pirate radio station Radio 270, and a director for Live Aid.
