3. Setting A Precedent

A year removed from AJ Styles' remarkable Royal Rumble debut, WWE could reverse the ailing fortunes of their centrepiece Battle Royal by re-establishing it as THE match to see with a Kenny Omega victory.

Since 2014's infamous Batista victory, the match has been cursed due to fans furiously turning on whichever performer WWE are desperate to push in the 30-man war.

Following 'The Animal's victory, Roman Reigns was a victim of the hatred the following two years, and eventual 2016 winner Triple H's cheers melted away to apathy when he tossed out unlikely finalist Dean Ambrose to crown himself new WWE Champion.

However, in light of his incredible debut year with the company, history will now dictate Styles' surprise appearance in the match as the undisputed highlight, and WWE have the chance to more-than recreate that with a similar introduction of the industry's current hottest star.

With the opportunity to break the back of disinterest that has plagued one of the biggest shows of the year, WWE could prove their worth by going one step further with Omega, awarding him a shocking victory and reminding fans exactly why the show is such a vitally important date in the calendar.
