4 Times A Gun Was Pulled On A Wrestler (For Real)

1. Fan Vs. Bobby Heenan

By now, this story is fairly well-known. It was re-told several times last year in the wake of Bobby Heenan's death, used as an example of just how convincing a bad guy the former WWE commentator was (well, you don't see anyone aiming gunfire at The Miz, do you?).

The incident happened at an AWA event in January 1975, where Heenan was tasked with managing his client Nick Bockwinkel in the main event. As usual, he attempted to draw the heat of the Chicago crowd by distracting the referee and landing cheap-shots on the opponent.

Now granted, that can be pretty frustrating, especially if you happen to be a big fan of the guy who is about to possibly get beaten through the use of the dark arts, but there are probably better ways to voice your frustration - maybe shout "Heenan is a !*$%" or something - than fire a gun at ringside.

But that, allegedly, is exactly what one particularly angry fan did, shooting several times at The Brain and apparently inadvertently injuring a couple of bystanders in the process. Heenan himself came away unharmed, but he probably toned down the heel stuff afterwards.
