4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (July 8)

1. The Kind Of Match Rampage Suits

Tony Nese Orange Cassidy
AEW

Tony Khan can bump Tony Nese and Orange Cassidy in pay whilst he's at it.

Both guys had the kind of match that Rampage should be all about - showcasing workers who might not get a lot of house room of flagship programming like Dynamite is a very good idea, and that's what happened here. Friday's main event was a damn good time from first bell to last.

Nese and Cassidy clearly have chemistry together. The match, and this is really nice to report, was a breakout performance from Nese too. He's always been capable of more than WWE were willing to hand him, and this proves it.

Props must go to Mark Sterling and Danhausen for playing their respective roles around ringside well too. AEW fans love Danhausen's comedic curses, and Sterling is a far better manager than most give him credit for.

Tidy little match, and one you should go out of your way to see.
