4 Ups & 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Feb 28)

1. Kairi Sane's Booking

This, like our other 'Down,' is a minor quibble, but a quibble nonetheless.

NXT's booking of Kairi Sane was odd last night. Having recently made her triumphant return to thwart a Shayna Baszler assault on Ember Moon, WWE had her lose cleanly in just under seven minutes. It was her first match back, and 'The Queen Of Spades' put her away in surprisingly quick fashion, which doesn't make much sense, given that it took Kairi almost twice that to best Baszler in the Mae Young Classic final.

This decision isn't entirely egregious, as Baszler came out looking incredible, but Sane looked softer than a melted marshmallow. Though not the kind of babyface that needs to look like a badass, she shouldn't be undermined either. This is your tournament winner, and one of your most marketable female commodities: why have her fall with such ease?

We have complete faith in the bookers rebuilding Sane over the coming weeks (they've earned that trust), but they didn't need to put themselves in this situation in the first place.
