They probably haven’t, but it feels like Zelina Vega and Piper Niven have wrestled 876 times in recent months. WWE's “Bakersfield Brawl” was basically a hardcore match, and that admittedly did give the bout a different twist to others, but there’s just nothing left to say about the feud between Zelina and Chelsea Green’s crew. They need to stop warring, and they needed to stop warring yesterday.

Zelina vs. Giulia could be fun, but the long-term outcome is surely moving the Women’s United States Title onto someone more interesting than Zelina. Harsh? Perhaps, but you’ve got to call it like you see it. Vega and Piper worked hard here and deserve credit for that, but the booking isn’t compelling whatsoever, and this smacked of WWE saying 'let's just throw some weapons and a table bump at it' rather than coming up with something with more depth.

If that is a wrap on Chelsea chasing Zelina, then Green has been left in a far worse position coming out of the rivalry than she was going in. Forget the belt for a second, because it's far from the most important due to its current incumbent; Chelsea's gimmick has been downplayed in recent weeks, and creative wants to position Vega as somebody who "has her number".

The only hope now is that Giulia can get sufficiently over enough as the next champ, but there are also fears about her clicking on the main roster. Being proficient inside the ring isn't enough for WWE's main pack. People expect big personalities, strong promos and captivating stories.
