4 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE Raw (June 29)

5. Raiders Fall To Disgruntled Tag Team

It’s understandable that tag teams on the way down will have to “do the honor” to teams on the way up. So as much as you might be frustrated to see the Viking Raiders on the way down the tag ranks, it’s the nature of the business.

But it’s still a bit jarring to see what was basically an all-powerful duo first lose a tag title feud in a subpar title match, and then lose to a tag team that barely can hold together as a unit. Andrade and Angel Garza seemed to have mended fences in recent weeks and be on the same page, but then Monday night, things almost fell apart once again, as Andrade started to walk off.

The duo patched things up and picked up the win, but then they fell apart in a handicap match against Big Show, which makes the Raiders’ loss even more confusing. So you have a tag team you spent a couple of months presumably getting their characters over with the audience through vignettes, then beat them in a tag title match, then had them lose to a disintegrating tag team.

Yeah, this just doesn’t make sense.
